Furthermore, nanotechnology – a differentiating concept at Sesderma – is also present in this range. The stabilized vitamin C derivative is in C-VIT, in liposomal form, that is, encapsulated in liposomes, which gives it extra protection against oxidative phenomena. Nanotechnology will also be an advantage in the penetration of the active into the skin. Liposomes have a structure similar to the biological membranes that make up skin cells – they are both made up of phospholipids organized in a double layer. This results in a high affinity between the liposomes that transport vitamin C and the skin cells, which enables significantly higher levels of penetration when compared to free vitamin C, not encapsulated in liposomes. The most recent product in the C-VIT range, Skin Roller C-Vit Radiance promises to enhance all the benefits of the C-Vit range thanks to the double absorption concept.
It is a device inspired by professional microneedling treatments, consisting of a head and an ampoule. The head, with 540 needles of 0.25 mm, when sliding over the surface of the skin, promotes the elimination of dead cells and enhances the absorption of the active principles of the ampoule in the deepest layers of the skin. In addition, the active ingredients in the ampoule are liposomed, which, as we have already seen, also favors greater penetration. Thanks to the double absorption that nanotechnology combined with the micro roller makes possible, it is possible to reach levels of penetration of the actives in the skin that guarantee its maximum effectiveness, for the best results.
Regarding the method of application, in a first step, the head must be fitted to the ampoule. Then, press the dispenser to dispense the product and, finally, slide it over the previously clean and dry skin, always using linear and smooth movements, without pressing.
We recommend bidirectional linear movements, first horizontal and then vertical, making 2–3 passes per zone:
1 - cheekbones;
2 - forehead;
3 - nose and chin.
