Its name leaves no room for doubt - at C-VIT, we harness the full potential of vitamin C. This is one of the most interesting active ingredients in terms of properties and one of the most widely used in the formulation of dermocosmetics. In addition to its antioxidant properties, which are increasingly important these days, vitamin C stimulates the natural synthesis of collagen in the skin and also inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, involved in the synthesis of melanin which, when produced in excess, causes unsightly spots.

WHAT DISTINGUISHES C-VIT?
One of the main challenges in formulating dermocosmetic products containing vitamin C is related to the limited stability of this active ingredient. In its pure form (ascorbic acid), vitamin C is not very stable and easily undergoes oxidation, losing its effectiveness and properties. Air, water and heat are some of the factors that promote the oxidation of ascorbic acid.
At Sesderma, maximum efficacy and stability of vitamin C is guaranteed as the C-VIT range is formulated with a stabilized derivative of vitamin C – 3-ethyl ascorbic acid*, which maintains the main properties of ascorbic acid and is much more resistant to oxidation.
Furthermore, nanotechnology – a distinctive concept at Sesderma – is also present in this range. The stabilised vitamin C derivative is in C-VIT, in liposomal form, i.e. encapsulated in liposomes, which provides extra protection against oxidative phenomena. Nanotechnology will also be an advantage in the penetration of the active ingredient into the skin. Liposomes have a structure similar to the biological membranes that make up skin cells – both are made up of phospholipids organised in a double layer. This results in a high affinity between the liposomes that transport vitamin C and the skin cells, which enables significantly higher levels of penetration when compared to free vitamin C, not encapsulated in liposomes. In this way, Sesderma products are formulated with the concentrations strictly necessary to obtain therapeutic effects, greatly reducing the risk of adverse reactions caused by higher concentrations of active ingredients. Therefore, the C-VIT range is, in general, well tolerated by all skin types, even those prone to sensitivity.
Finally, associate still to the stabilized and liposomal vitamin C, the Antiox Booster System, a complex formed by 3 antioxidants (Ginkgo biloba, pterostilbene and quercetin) that enhance the range's antioxidant protection. THE LATEST RELEASE
The latest product in the C-VIT range, the Skin Roller C-Vit Radiance promises to enhance all the benefits of the C-Vit range thanks to the double absorption concept.
This is a device inspired by professional microneedling treatments, consisting of a head and a vial. The head, with 540 needles of 0.25 mm, when gliding over the surface of the skin, it promotes the elimination of dead cells and enhances the absorption of the active ingredients in the ampoule into the deepest layers of the skin. Furthermore, the active ingredients in the ampoule are liposomed, which, as we have already seen, also favors greater penetration. Thanks to the double absorption that nanotechnology combined with the micro roller makes possible, it is possible to achieve levels of penetration of the active ingredients into the skin that guarantee their maximum effectiveness, for the best results.
Regarding the method of application, in the first step, the head must be fitted onto the ampoule. Then, press the dispenser to dispense the product and, finally, glide it over previously clean and dry skin, always using linear and gentle movements, without pressing.
We recommend bidirectional linear movements, first horizontal and then vertical, making 2–3 passes per zone:
1 - cheekbones;
2 - forehead;
3 - nose and chin.
The C-Vit Radiance Skin Roller can be used 2-3 times a week, ensuring that after each use, the head is properly cleaned with water and neutral soap.
