Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test helps you maximise your chances of getting pregnant naturally by identifying your 2 most fertile days of each cycle by measuring changes in the level of the key fertility hormone – luteinising hormone (LH). It’s more accurate than calendar and temperature methods and gives you unambiguous results on a digital display.
By identifying the 2 most fertile days to get pregnant you can be more confident that you are trying at the right time;
Accuracy greater than 99%;
With the clear digital display, results are easier to read than ever before;
Single flashing "test stick" symbol shows that the digital ovulation test is working.
Read the instructions on the packaging and leaflet carefully before use.
Before you begin, you need to know your normal cycle length to ensure you test at the right time to get a sense of your LH surge.
To calculate your cycle length, count the day your period starts (the first day of full menstrual flow) as Day 1 and continue counting until the day before your next period – this number of days is your cycle length.
You can test at any time of the day, but you should always test at the same time of day.
Try not to urinate in the four hours before the ovulation test and avoid drinking too much fluid before testing – you may find it easier to use the first urine of the day.
Prepare the test:
Remove the ovulation test stick from its protective packaging.
Remove the lid.
Before placing the test stick under your urine stream, it must be inserted into the test holder. Align the pink arrow on the test stick with the pink arrow on the test holder and insert it until it clicks into place.
Wait until the "test ready" symbol appears and take the ovulation test immediately.
How to take the test:
Place only the absorbent tip facing down in contact with the urine stream for 5-7 seconds.
Or collect a urine sample using a clean, dry container. Dip the absorbent tip into the urine for 15 seconds.
Be careful not to get the test stand wet.
Keep the absorbent tip pointing down or lay the test flat. When testing, never hold the test with the absorbent tip pointing up.
Wait 3 minutes.
After 20 to 40 seconds, the "test ready" symbol will flash to show that the ovulation test is working.
Do not eject the ovulation test stick before you get the result.
Replace the cap on the ovulation test stick and wait 5 minutes.
In 3 minutes, the result will be displayed on the screen.
No LH surge: If the result is an "empty circle", the test did not detect an LH surge. Test again tomorrow at the same time, using a new ovulation test stick.
LH surge: A "smile" means you have detected an LH surge. Your 2 most fertile days are today and tomorrow, so having sex in the next 48 hours will maximize your chances of getting pregnant.
After reading the final result, eject the ovulation test stick and throw it away.
Your result can only be read on the display of the test holder - you cannot determine the result based on the lines on the ovulation test stick.
The result remains on the display for 8 minutes.
Do not reinsert a used ovulation test stick.
